New “Tax For All” platform to replace TaxisNet

Tax For All (TFA) is currently being developed by the Tax Department of Cyprus to replace TaxisNet, Tax Portal, and other smaller systems. TAF will provide taxpayers and tax professionals with real-time data and a more direct approach to tax matters.

Taxpayers can designate agents electronically through the TFA.

TAF will be rolled out in three phases:

The first phase of the Value-Added-Tax (VAT) reform is anticipated to be implemented by the end of the first quarter of 2023. Through the TFA, taxpayers and agents will be able to submit the VAT Return form, issuance certificates (such as Tax Clearance – VAT only, Registered Certificate VAT, and Deregistered certificate from the VAT), online payments and payment history, request a refund online, extract a statement of account, online return’s details, and a tracking message system.

Stages 2 and 3 are anticipated to launch concurrently in the fourth quarter of 2024.

The Tax department will send instructions to all registered email addresses in their database.

In addition, short “How to” films will be available in Greek and English to further assist Taxpayers and make this move as seamless as possible.

The Tax Department is in contact with all accounting software (providers/developers) to ensure they will make any necessary upgrades and alterations to their program and tell their customers.

Small and medium-sized businesses might receive money to improve their existing software.
